My formal education revolved around Computer Science and Mathematics, finally graduating with a BS in Applied and Computational Mathematics, from San Jose State University. I then studied Actuarial Sciences and Finance (with risk modeling) for two years (passing three professional industry exams along the way) before coming back to my analytical, problem solving, computer programming/math roots.
I am currently employed as a full-time Drupal Developer working on module development, theme implementations and full site constructions. My company and I were recently highlighted on Drupal.org when my article describing the Drupal implementation of HowToDoThings.com was promoted to the frontpage. I am also the current developer on AboutAirportParking.com, as well as working on many internal PHP and MySQL based reporting projects.
I am also highly involved with my church, Vintage Faith, where my work ethic and business morals have been shaped by Biblical precepts. My wife and I also lead a Home Community Group. I am also reworking their site to be a Drupal based one.
I am clearing 30 years old, happily married for over six years and my current Drupal side project is a dog park site for my wife, Dog Park USA.
Here is the list of my current open-source, contract or other projects.
Taking a majority of my spare time now is the writing of Hello! Drupal.
For my wife's dog park site I created the Link to Us module that has been contributed back to drupal.org.
I have currently been working on AboutAirportParking.com. Recently redesigned with a custom reservation system.
The major project for the last year was How To Do Things.com, recently highlighted on the frontpage of Drupal.org, http://drupal.org/node/174887.
Drupal Revision Deletions is a module that I have written for Drupal. Has been ported to 5.0 and updated a bit. The Issues list is clear for now and it is a seldom used module thus far.
Of course, my current personal project is a dog parks site. We are using Google Maps to bring local dog parks to the masses. Still a lot of work to go, but great for weekend and evening work.
Another side project is a new RC hobby site. Just started so nothing to see yet.
At this time, I am not looking for full-time opportunities. I am currently employed as a technical Drupal developer.
Please feel free to contact me concerning short theming or setup advice, though I can't guarentee speedy results due to current workload.
